UPDATE - Turkish stocks up at Monday close
BIST 100 index gains 11.87 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index rose 0.83% to close on Monday at 1,442.06 points.
After starting the week at 1,428.99 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 11.87 points from last week's close of 1,430.19 points.
During the day, the index hovered between 1,428.88, and 1,443.02 points – 66 stocks on the index rose, 28 fell and six were flat compared to Friday's close.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 1.04 trillion Turkish liras ($129.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 16.3 billion Turkish liras (nearly $2 billion).
The highest trading volumes were posted by real estate investment trust Emlak Konut, gold miner Koza Altin and private lender Garanti BBVA.
The stocks of wheels manufacturer Jantsa performed the best, with its shares up 10%, while stocks of Turkish conglomerate Net Holding dropped the most, with 2.23%.
Meanwhile, the Turkish statistical authority announced that Turkey's inflation rate rose to 16.19% in March, up from 15.61% in February. Month-on-month, the consumer price index climbed by 1.08% in March, it added.
One ounce of gold sold for $1,710.00 by market close, down from $1,732.50, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $62.76 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT).
