UPDATE - Turkish stocks up over 1% at Monday's close
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gains 14.70 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,459.33 points on Monday, up 1.02% from the previous close.
Starting the week at 1,454.91 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 14.70 points from Friday's close of 1,444.63 points.
On a weekly basis, the benchmark index posted a decline of 0.21% last week.
During Monday's trading, the BIST 100 hovered between 1,453.68 points and 1,463.07 points –70 stocks on the index rose, 22 fell, and eight were flat compared to the previous close.
Closing the day with a market value of 1.1 trillion Turkish liras ($129 billion), the benchmark index posted a daily trading volume of 13.7 billion Turkish liras ($1.6 billion).
Shares of private lender Garanti BBVA, glassmaker Sise Cam and national flag carrier Turkish Airlines saw the highest trading volumes on Monday.
Shares of investment company Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama performed the best, rising 10%, while stocks of energy company Aksa Enerji did the worst with a 3.99% drop.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,788.40 by market close, down from $1,786.40 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $68.32 per barrel, a rise of 5.51% as of 6:00 p.m. local time (1500GMT).
