US gasoline prices slightly up to $5.016 per gallon
National average for regular gasoline up 62.8% from last year

ANKARA (AA) – US gasoline prices continued their increase on Tuesday, according to the latest figures from the American Automobile Association (AAA).
The national average stood at $5.016 per gallon (3.785 liters) for regular gasoline, up from $5.014 the previous day, and almost a 2% gain from last week's average of $4.919.
The latest price is approximately a 12.7% increase from $4.452 last month, and up 62.8% from $3.080 a year ago, according to data compiled by Anadolu Agency.
While the price of premium gasoline stood at a national average of $5.693, the average price of diesel was at $5.775 nationwide, as of Tuesday.
The highest price was recorded in the state of California at $6.438, followed by Nevada at $5.667.
Record gasoline prices in the world's largest economy are intensifying inflationary pressures, where annual consumer prices in May climbed 8.6% -- its largest gain since December 1981.
