US goods trade deficit down 15.9% in April

Imports of goods in April $14.8B less than March imports, US Commerce Department says

ANKARA (AA) - The US' international goods trade deficit decreased 15.9% in April from the previous month, according to results released by the US Commerce Department's Census Bureau on Friday.

The goods trade deficit came in at $105.9 billion in April, down $20 billion from $125.9 billion in March.

In April, exports of goods were $5.2 billion more than March exports, while imports of goods in April were $14.8 billion less than March imports.

Wholesale inventories in April came in at $860.8 billion, up 2.1% from the previous month.

Retail inventories in April stood at $696.3 billion, up 0.7% from the month before.
