US initial jobless claims decrease by 11,000
200,000 claims filed last week, according to Labor Department

ANKARA (AA) – The number of Americans filing first-time unemployment claims last week fell by 11,000 to 200,000, the US Labor Department announced on Thursday.
The market expectation for initial jobless claims was 210,000.
The previous week’s figure was revised up by 1,000 from 210,000 to 211,000.
The four-week moving average was 206,500, a decrease of 500 from the previous week’s revised average.
The US economy generated 428,000 jobs in April, while the unemployment rate remained unchanged from the previous month at 3.6%, according to latest figures.
