WASHINGTON (AA) - Republican Senate candidate Mehmet Oz cast his vote in Tuesday's elections in a race against Democratic John Fetterman.
The celebrity doctor, joined by his wife, Lisa, cast his ballot at a polling station in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania.
"I'm very proud of how I've run this campaign. Pennsylvania is sending a very clear message to Washington; we want less radicalism, and more balance. So, I encourage everyone to vote," Oz said after voting.
Oz and Fetterman are locked in a tooth-and-nail fight for an open Senate seat. The RealClearPolitics says Oz is ahead by a razor-thin 0.1%.
Polls have begun to open early Tuesday in the US with voting booths across the East Coast opening their doors to millions of voters who will help decide the fate of Congress.
All 435 seats in the House of Representatives as well as 35 in the 100-member Senate are being contested. Most analysts are predicting that Republicans will gain control of the House, but the fate of the Senate remains a topic of intense speculation.
