US stock market opens higher
Tech shares up more than 1 percent

NEW YORK (AA) - The stock market opened higher Monday with gains in technology companies' stocks.
The Dow added 67 points to begin trading at 21,462 points, and the S&P 500 rose eight points to 2,446 points.
The Nasdaq increased 35 points to start the day at 6,300 points.
At the first bell, Twitter saw its shares gain 1.9 percent, while Western Digital's stock price rose 1.4 percent.
