US stock market opens mixed
Dollar index down slightly ahead of Powell's speech

ISTANBUL (AA) - Major indices in the US stock market opened mixed on Monday.
The Dow Jones slipped 45 points to 34,708 at 9.31 a.m. EDT (1431GMT). The S&P 500 was up 9.7 points to 4,464.
The Nasdaq was off 25.4 points to 13,868.
The VIX volatility index decreased 2.5% to 23.26.
The dollar index dropped 0.01% to 98.22, ahead of US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's speech.
Brent crude was trading at $113.3 per barrel, while US benchmark West Texas Intermediate was at $107.7.
