US stock market opens with record highs
Unemployment falls to lowest level in 16 years

NEW YORK (AA) - The stock market opened with record highs Friday to begin the last trading day of the week.
The Dow added 14 points to 21,158 points, and the S&P 500 rose 1 point to 2,431 points.
The Nasdaq increased 18 points to 6,265 points.
All three major indexes opened the day at their highest levels.
Unemployment declined to 4.3 percent in May, its lowest level since 2001, according to the Department of Labor earlier.
The American economy, however, added 138,000 jobs in May, missing the market expectation of 185,000 jobs.
