US: Trump rallies huge campaign crowd in Minnesota
Trump accuses Democrats, ‘radical left’ of trying to ‘nullify’ results of 2016 election

ANKARA (AA) - U.S. President Donald Trump rallied a huge campaign crowd in the state of Minnesota where he lost with a narrow margin in 2016 presidential election but eyes to win in 2020.

"Over the next 13 months, we are going to fight with all of our heart and soul – and we are going to win the Great State of Minnesota in 2020," Trump told the audience Thursday in his first campaign rally since his impeachment inquiry began Sept. 24.

He later tweeted that sentence from his address.

Thanking the jubilant crowd and vowing to win the state in 2020 as the first administration in a long time to "put America first," he said there are 20,000 people inside and another 25,000 outside.

Trump went after Democrats congresswoman Ilhan Omar, the Bidens, and Democrats in his speech that lasted nearly two hours.

"They will fail because in America people rule again," Trump said, accusing Democrats and the "radical left" of trying to "nullify" the result of 2016 election.

Lawmakers in the House of Representatives launched an impeachment inquiry against Trump following claims by a whistle-blower that the president sought to pressure Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections.

In a July 25 telephone call, Trump allegedly made military aid contingent on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky launching a probe into former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, and his son, Hunter, on corruption allegations.

The elder Biden is a leading candidate in the race to win the Democratic nomination and challenge Trump in 2020.

The White House wrote a defiant letter Tuesday to prominent Democrats saying it will not cooperate with their “illegitimate and unconstitutional” impeachment inquiry into Trump’s dealings with Ukraine.

The eight-page letter, addressed to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other senior Democrats, said the inquiry was unfair, had no basis in the Constitution and flouted due process and the rule of law.
