Vietnam: Australian nationals busted for drug smuggling
Brother and sister accused of trafficking heroin, meth from Cambodia

HANOI, Vietnam (AA) - A pair of Australians have been arrested in Ho Chi Minh City for running a drug smuggling operation.
Lam Kim Phung and her brother Lam Dao Long, who are both Vietnamese-Australian, have been accused of running a smuggling gang that trafficked heroin and methamphetamine to Ho Chi Minh City from Cambodia, the VN Express news site reported Monday.
While no drugs were reported on the duo at the time of arrest, VN Express reported that an accomplice was caught with three kilograms of drugs Nov. 28.
Three other alleged associates have also been arrested.
Vietnam’s drug laws are some of the world’s toughest. Selling 100 grams of heroin or 300 grams of methamphetamine is punishable by death.
