West Bank Palestinians mourn youth killed by Israel

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - Hundreds of Palestinians on Thursday took part in a funeral for Ahmed Manasra, a youth killed earlier this week by Israeli troops near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Mourners performed funeral prayers for Manasra, 26, at a mosque in the village of Wadi Fukin, his hometown, before burying his body in a local cemetery.

Mansara was killed late Wednesday when Israeli soldiers opened fire on his vehicle near a military checkpoint south of Bethlehem.

Manasra is the fourth young Palestinian to have been killed by Israeli troops within the last 48 hours, with two others killed in a separate incident in the West Bank city of Nablus and another killed in the West Bank city of Salfit.
