World Cup: Argentina on verge of elimination

ANKARA (AA) - World Cup Group C and D final matches will take place on Tuesday of the FIFA World Cup 2018.

Australia will take on Peru in Group C at Fisht Stadium in Sochi at 5 p.m. local time (1400GMT).

Despite being defeated by France in their first match, the Socceroos' hopes are still alive after they grabbed a point against Denmark in their second match.

They must defeat Peru and hope for France to beat Denmark.

Indeed, Denmark and France square off at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow at 5 p.m. local time (1400GMT).

France already secured their spot in the Round of 16.

In Group D, 2014 runners-up Argentina are on the brink of elimination and must win against Nigeria.

The match will take place at Saint Petersburg Stadium at 9 p.m. local time (1800GMT).

The Super Eagles were defeated by Croatia 2-0 in the first match and bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Iceland.

Iceland face Croatia at Rostov Arena at 9 p.m. local time (1800GMT).

With one point so far, Iceland have no choice but to win against group leaders Croatia.

Croatia won both their matches with 2-0 and 3-0 results.They can win the group with a draw.
