11 killed in grenade attack in Karachi
Incident can be act of terrorism or personal enmity, police say

KARACHI, Pakistan (AA) - At least 11 people, including women and children, were killed and several injured in a grenade attack on a truck in the southern port city of Karachi on Saturday, police said.
Raja Omer Khitab, the head of the counter-terrorism cell of Karachi police, told reporters that the attackers riding a motorbike hurled a grenade on a mini truck in the southern district of the metropolis.
The dead included five women and four children, he said, adding nine people were injured, two of them critically.
The deceased and the injured, who belonged to a same family, were returning after attending a wedding ceremony.
The incident, Khitab said, could be an act of terrorism or personal enmity.
Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmad condemned the attack and directed the security agencies to intensify efforts to bring the culprits to justice.
