11 migrants rescued after boat sunk in Aegean Sea
Search and rescue operation still underway, according to Greek authorities

ATHENS (AA) – The number of people rescued from a boat wreck in the Aegean rose to 11 on Wednesday after the Greek coast guard pulled one more man from the sea near Evia Island.
The rescued migrants included six people from Egypt, three from Afghanistan and two from Iran.
The survivors said there were 68 people on the boat which capsized on Tuesday.
A search and rescue operation is underway.
According to the coast guard, a distress call was sent to the European emergency number 112 by migrants on board after their boat sunk.
