ANKARA (AA) - Four terrorists were neutralized in southeastern Türkiye, while one surrendered, the country's Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday.
In a statement, the ministry said that one of those neutralized was terrorist Ayse Kapar, code-named Amara Guyi, who killed Turkish gendarmerie officer Ismail Can Akdeniz earlier this year.
Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu personally followed the operation, it added.
Turkish authorities use the term "neutralize" to imply the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.
The terrorists were neutralized as part of Operation Eren Abluka Fall-Winter, a domestic anti-terror push launched in October and ongoing in 15 areas.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
