5.0 magnitude earthquake strikes southwestern China
No reports of casualties or structural damage

ANKARA (AA) - A 5.0-magnitude earthquake rattled southwest China's Yunnan province early Thursday, with no immediate reports of casualties or structural damage.
The earthquake struck Eryuan County in Bai Autonomous Prefecture of Dali at 4.31 am Beijing time (2031GMT Wednesday), Xinhua News Agency reported, citing the China Earthquake Networks Center.
It struck at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and was also strongly felt in Dali City and Heqing County.
Local authorities have promptly initiated an emergency response, with townships assessing the impact.
