5.7 magnitude earthquake jolts Philippines

ISTANBUL (AA) - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 struck 130 kilometers east of Barcelona in the Philippines at 1509GMT, according to the US Geological Survey.

The tremor struck at a depth of focus of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) under the Philippine Sea.

The epicenter was located at 8.38 degrees north latitude and 127.60 degrees east longitude.

There have been no immediate reports of property damage or casualties.
