Rapid Support Forces carries out artillery attack aimed at Sudanese army, resulting in 5 civilian casualties, including 4 children

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AA) - The Sudanese army reported on Sunday that five people, including four children, were killed in an artillery attack by the paramilitary force Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the capital Khartoum.
The RSF carried out an artillery attack near the armored unit headquarters in the southern part of the capital on Saturday, the Sudanese army said in a statement.
The army reported that five people from the same family, including four children, lost their lives and one person was seriously injured in the attack.
Since fighting erupted in Sudan in April, thousands of civilians have been killed or wounded, while more than 3.3 million people have been displaced within the country and across borders, according to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
