Adult injured, minor arrested after school shooting in Bosnia and Herzegovina : Mayor

BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) — An adult was injured when an underage shooter, who was later arrested, opened fire at a school in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday, according to a local official.

The incident took place at an elementary school in the northwestern city of Lukavac, Mayor Edin Delic said on social media.

According to initial information, none of the injured are students.

"I am asking parents to curb the panic. The perpetrator is a minor child and was immediately arrested. It is a difficult day," said Delic.

So far, neither police nor the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications have publicly revealed any official information on the school shooting.

Local media have reported that security forces are at the scene.
