ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency’s 15th intensive war journalism training concluded Thursday with 21 journalists from various media organizations across 11 countries completing the program.
The training was an effort to raise the ability of reporters to operate in war zones and under extraordinary conditions. It was conducted in coordination with Anadolu Agency's News Academy, the Turkish Police Academy and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
The 12-day course, organized within the scope of TIKA's Correspondent Training Program, included Arabic as a language of instruction for the first time.
It included theoretical and practical training and involved experts on war and counter-terrorism training and war reporter candidates to survive in conflict zones and risky areas while producing news, photos and videos.
Successful participants will be awarded Friday with internationally-recognized certificates.
