ANKARA (AA) – Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments around the world.

Three more people, including a child, were rescued from the rubble in Türkiye's southern Hatay province, more than 296 hours after the first of two back-to-back earthquakes hit the region.

At least 40,642 people have been killed by the earthquakes that jolted southern Türkiye on Feb. 6, according to the country’s disaster management agency.

Nearly 6,500 babies have been born in southern Türkiye since the earthquakes shook the region earlier this month.

Two donation campaigns in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have collected $7.9 million for victims of the earthquake disaster in Türkiye and Syria.

Renowned Turkish-American heart surgeon Mehmet Oz visited a field hospital of the US-based Samaritan's Purse humanitarian aid organization in Hatay province.

The US Secretary of State will pay a two-day visit to Türkiye that was hit by the earthquakes.

Following a show of solidarity in the wake of the massive earthquakes in southern Türkiye, Greece said it wanted to use the "window of opportunity" to reduce tensions between the two countries.

More than 1,300 irregular migrants have reached Italy's Lampedusa island in the past two days, according to media reports.

One year into the war in Ukraine, Kyiv is “still standing,” Russia is “weakened” and NATO “is stronger than ever,” said US Vice President Kamala Harris.

Russia’s army and officials have committed “crimes against humanity” in Ukraine, said the US’ top diplomat.

Russia must change for peace in Ukraine, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
