ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments around the world.

At least 42,310 people have been killed by two strong earthquakes that jolted southern Türkiye on Feb. 6, the country’s disaster management agency said Tuesday.

Over 20,000 Syrians in Türkiye have returned to their home country across the border after the recent earthquakes in Türkiye's southern region, the Turkish national defense minister said Tuesday.

The European Commission reassured Türkiye of the bloc’s solidarity Tuesday, a day after another strong earthquake jolted the country’s southern province of Hatay after massive quakes hit the nation’s southern regions on Feb. 6.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that the more long-range weapons the West supplies to Ukraine, the further Russia will have to move the threat away from its borders.

President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that Russia will suspend its participation in the only remaining arms control treaty with the US.

The NATO chief called on Russia to withdraw its decision to suspend its participation in the New START nuclear treaty.
