ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments around the world.

A fresh round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine brokered by Turkiye kicked off in Istanbul on Tuesday.

The Turkish president on Tuesday reiterated his call for a cease-fire between Russia and Ukraine ahead of peace talks in Istanbul to end the war, which is early into its second month.

The Turkish foreign minister hailed the latest round of Russia-Ukraine peace talks in Istanbul, saying Tuesday's meeting achieved "the most meaningful progress since the start of negotiations."

Ukraine wants to see eight countries, including Turkiye, as guarantors in a deal with Russia, said a Ukrainian negotiator after peace talks in Istanbul.

Germany will completely end its dependence on Russian oil and gas, said Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
