ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments around the world.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone call with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif amid the latest developments related to the flood disaster in Pakistan and Ankara’s ongoing extensive aid efforts to the country.

Sharif expressed his gratitude to Erdogan and the people of Türkiye for extending humanitarian relief assistance to Pakistan.

Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov and Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov exchanged views on grain shipments as well as humanitarian aid to Ukraine in a phone call.

The White House announced that US President Joe Biden has formally accepted an invitation to attend the funeral of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II on Sept. 19.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Germany and France, with the support of the US and Türkiye, want a quick solution to the Kosovo issue.

Ukraine’s atomic power operator Energoatom said operations at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the biggest in Europe, have been completely halted.

The Ukrainian army said Russia withdrew its troops from several areas in Ukraine's southern port city of Kherson and continues vacating positions in the northern region of Kharkiv amid Kyiv's counter-offensive.

The French transport minister announced that France and Romania will sign an agreement to facilitate the export of grain trapped in Ukraine by a land route.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow is not ruling out negotiations with Kyiv, but the delay by the Ukrainian side could complicate the possibility.
