ISTANBUL (AA) - Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments around the world.

Following the decision of Türkiye and Israel to normalize relations, the Turkish foreign minister said a new draft decree on ambassadors is ready to be presented to the president.

Mevlut Cavusoglu further announced that he will travel to London next Monday as Türkiye’s official representative at the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the European Union will provide €100 million ($100 million) for rebuilding schools damaged in Ukraine due to the ongoing war with Russia.

Von der Leyen also proposed energy market reforms, including the taxation of energy companies and decoupling of gas prices from overall electricity bills.

The French prime minister pledged to limit natural gas and electricity price hikes to 15% for 2023 amid the energy crisis in Europe worsened by Russia's ongoing war on Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Izyum after the country retook the city from Russian forces.

Azerbaijan called for a cease-fire with Armenia amid fresh border clashes that have caused dozens of casualties on both sides.

As a humanitarian gesture, Baku said it is willing to hand over the bodies of 100 Armenian servicemen killed in fighting over the past two days.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told parliament that 105 Armenian soldiers had died in the recent flare-up, while the count of Azerbaijani fatalities given by Baku stands at 50.

The US charged three Iranian nationals with conducting ransomware attacks that targeted victims across the globe, including local governments and utility companies.

The UN refugee agency said countries are bound by “international obligations” to prevent the deaths of migrants at sea.

“Search and rescue at sea and timely disembarkation are international obligations and are crucial to prevent further loss of life,” Shabia Mantoo, a spokesperson for the UNHCR, told Anadolu Agency when asked to comment on the deaths of six irregular migrants pushed back by Greek forces.

Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson conceded defeat in Sweden’s tightly contested election, paving the way for an opposition bloc of four right-wing parties to form a new government.

An armed woman broke into a bank in the Lebanese capital Beirut demanding access to her savings to treat her sick sister.
