Reporters across 11 countries complete 12-day intensive war journalism program

By Mehmet Alaca

ANKARA (AA) - Participants of Anadolu Agency’s 15th intensive war journalism training program on Friday received their internationally-recognized certificates with a ceremony in Ankara.

The program, which began on July 22, was organized by Anadolu Agency’s News Academy in collaboration with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Turkish Police Academy as part of its journalist training program.

The journalists were trained on how to survive in conflict zones and risky areas while producing news, photos and videos.

The training course with 21 journalists from various media organizations across 11 countries included Arabic as a language of instruction for the first time.

Along with the training provided to Anadolu Agency employees, the News Academy has provided war journalism training for nearly 350 foreign media members from 32 different countries.
