Anadolu Agency's war journalism program continues

Reporters from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Iraq participate in intensive training in Ankara

ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency’s 11th intensive war journalism program, organized by agency’s News Academy in collaboration with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Turkish Police Academy, continued Monday.

The latest 12-day long program began on Aug. 14.

Twenty-five reporters from several international destinations are participating in the program, who will be trained by Turkey’s military, police force, emergency services and public order bodies in Ankara.

Reporters from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Iraq will be attendence.

The police academy and armed forces personnel are giving theoretical and practical courses at the Turkish Police Academy's facility in Anittepe in Ankara.

The program differs from other training programs in terms of duration, theoretical and practical course hours.

As part of the program, several subjects, including journalism, personal security, first aid, advanced driving techniques, water survival techniques, survival during chemical and biological attacks and media management in hostile environments -- are being taught in the program.

Anadolu Agency News Academy aims to provide a world standard certification program, keeping in view its global brand, in line with local and international educational demands.

The program will continue till Aug. 25 at the end of which successful participants will be awarded with internationally-recognized certificates.
