Anadolu to grant research scholarships for theses focused on agency

ANKARA (AA) — Türkiye's leading news agency Anadolu launched an initiative on Monday to grant scholarships to graduate students studying it for their master's and doctoral dissertations.

With the scholarships, the agency aims to help students gain more experience in their field, contributing to their academic and professional development and career planning. It also seeks to boost Anadolu's presence in academics.

Two master's students will receive scholarships for two semesters under the program, while two PhD students will be given the payments for four semesters.

To be eligible, applicants will need to submit two academic reference letters, a thesis proposal, and letter of intent. They will also have to meet a certain proficiency level in English and master's-level applicants must be based in Türkiye.

Besides the other conditions, doctoral students have to have completed their courses and passed their PhD qualifying exam.

Applications for Anadolu's research scholarships will be open until May 30, with the results will be announced on Aug. 1.
