Annual inflation in UK at 10-month low
Inflation in country falls to its lowest level since March 2025

ISTANBUL (AA) - Annual inflation in the UK was 3% in January, down from 3.4% in December 2025, in line with market expectations, hitting the lowest level since March 2025.
The UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) announced that the core inflation, excluding energy and food prices, fell to 3.1% year-on-year in January, exceeding market expectations of 3%.
Inflation in the country's service sector fell to 4.4% year-on-year.
On a monthly basis, inflation in the UK was at minus 0.5%.
Transportation, food, and non-alcoholic beverage prices made the largest downward contribution to monthly inflation.
