Antalya to host Turkish-British Tatlidil Forum

Annual forum bringing together leading figures from two countries to be held March 24-26 in southern Turkey

ANKARA (AA) - This year’s gathering of the “Turkish-British Tatlidil Forum” will be held in the southern Turkish province of Antalya on March 24-26.

According to diplomatic sources, Turkish officials who will attend the sixth meeting of the annual forum include President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, Deputy PM Mehmet Simsek and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Topics to be discussed in different sessions include regional and world politics, Brexit, the July 15 coup attempt and the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) which is said to have instigated the plot.

Energy and natural resources, the situation in the Middle East and defense and cybersecurity will also be discussed.

Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak and EU Affairs Minister Omer Celik will also participate, along with presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin and Undersecretary for Defense Industries Ismail Demir.

Among those attending from the United Kingdom will be Prince Andrew, Duke of York, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and Foreign Office Minister Sir Alan Duncan.

The Tatlidil Forum, established in 2011, brings together leading figures from the fields of academia, business, the media and politics to strengthen relations between Turkey and the U.K.

Reha Denemec, senior advisor to Turkey’s president, and Jack Straw, foreign secretary under former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, serve as the forum’s co-chairmen.
