Arab Media Summit opens in UAE

DUBAI / ISTANBUL (AA) - An international media summit kicked off in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday, drawing thousands of participants from around the world.

Dubai Press Club, the institute that organizes the Arab Media Summit, said this year’s edition is attended by nearly 8,000 media professionals and political figures from the UAE and 26 countries.

According to the Emirati state news agency WAM, the three-day event will host 300 speakers, more than 175 main sessions, and 35 workshops by various global media organizations and digital platforms.

WAM said the summit will cover “the impact of AI and emerging technologies on content creation, the film and gaming industry, and digital media and social media platforms” as key agenda topics.

Among the guests of the summit are the grand imam of Egypt’s Al-Azhar, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani.

The Arab Media Summit is an annual event, aiming to bring Arab media professionals together to address developments and changes in the media sector.
