AS Roma beat Genoa 1-0 in Coppa Italia Round of 16

Roma reach quarterfinals through Paulo Dybala's goal

ANKARA (AA) - AS Roma beat Genoa 1-0 Thursday in the Coppa Italia Round of 16.

Paulo Dybala's goal in the 64th minute gave Roma a vital victory at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

In the other Round of 16 match Thursday, Fiorentina beat Sampdoria 1-0.

Fiorentina's goal was netted by Czech midfielder Antonin Barak in the 25th minute at Stadio Artemio Franchi in Firenze.

Sampdoria's Colombian defender Jeison Murillo was sent off in the 92nd minute.

Four more matches will be played in the Round of 16 and the first quarterfinal game will be held on Jan. 31.

Inter Milan is the reigning champion in the Coppa Italia, while Juventus is the most successful team with 14 titles.
