ANKARA (AA) - Atletico Madrid sealed a narrow 1-0 win over city rivals Real Madrid in a La Liga clash Sunday.
Yannick Carrasco converted a penalty in the 40th minute to put Los Colchoneros ahead at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
Both sides failed to score in the second half and Real Madrid suffered their first league loss since March.
Atletico Madrid increased their points to 64 to be in fourth spot.
Real Madrid, who already were crowned La Liga champions, now have 81 points as their key players Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric, Dani Carvajal and Thibaut Courtois all started on the bench.
