Bahrain takes security measures to maintain public safety amid rising regional tension
Interior Ministry asks citizens to use main roads only if necessary

ISTANBUL (AA) – Bahrain started to take security measures on Sunday to ensure the safety of public places amid rising regional tensions following US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
In a statement, the Bahraini Interior Ministry asked citizens to minimize usage of main roads due to rising regional tensions.
Local media said that online education and remote working will also be activated countrywide.
The measures followed US strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan early Sunday.
The strikes came as the latest escalation in a US-backed Israeli military assault on Iran since June 13, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory attacks on Israel.
Israeli authorities said at least 25 people have been killed and hundreds injured since then in Iranian missile attacks. Meanwhile, in Iran, 430 people have been killed and more than 3,500 wounded in the Israeli assault, according to the Iranian Health Ministry.
