Barcelona confirm signing of Garcia from Man City on free transfer

Eric Garcia's deal to run until 2026 with nearly $490 million buyout clause

ISTANBUL (AA) - Barcelona have completed Eric Garcia signing on a free transfer from Manchester City, the club announced on Saturday.

"Barcelona and Eric Garcia have reached an agreement for the player to join the club from 1 July one his contract with Manchester City is at an end," Barca said in a statement.

"The player will sign a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season and his buy out clause is set at 400 million euros, about ($490 million)," it added.

Garcia, 20, the defender graduated from Barcelona academy before joining the Cityzens in 2017, played for the English club for four seasons.
