Bayern draw 1-1 with Borussia Monchengladbach in Bundesliga opener

ANKARA (AA) - Defending champions Bayern Munich were held to a 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach in their Bundesliga opener on Friday.

Alassane Plea's goal gave the home side the lead in the 10th minute at Borussia Park.

Robert Lewandowski responded with the equalizer in the 42nd minute.

Both sides failed to score in the second half and shared the points in the draw.
