Borsa Istanbul up 1.73% at Friday's open

BIST 100 index gains almost 61.6 points from previous close

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 3,615.02 points on Friday, up 1.73%, or 61.59 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up by 1.01% to end Thursday at 3,553.43 points, with a daily trading volume of 60 billion Turkish liras ($3.22billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.5850 as of 10.49 a.m. local time (0749GMT), the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.1680, and a British pound traded for 21.9950 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $94.77 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,675.7.
