Borsa Istanbul up at Tuesday's open

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened the day at 3,272.20 points on Tuesday, up 0.37% or 12.05 points from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 0.65% to close Monday at 3,260.15 points, with a daily trading volume of 54.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.97 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 18.4737 as of 9.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), from 18.4500 at the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 17.8218 from 17.8100, while a British pound traded for 19.9162 Turkish liras, down from 19.9860.

Brent crude oil sold for around $84 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,644.30
