BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - Bosnian Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak visited Anadolu Agency’s Sarajevo office Wednesday.

Crnadak was informed about the activities of the agency and its network in the region.

He celebrated the fifth anniversary of the agency’s language service based out of Sarajevo, which falls on March 11. The office has been giving coverage in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian languages since its inception.

The foreign minister also celebrated the International Women's Day with the agency's female staff.

Recalling that Bosnia was among the first countries to react against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization's defeated coup on July 15, 2016, Crnadak said that they are aiming to further develop relations between the two countries, especially in the economic field.

Referring to the Sarajevo-Belgrade Highway Project planned with the support of Turkey, Crnadak said it is important not only in terms of infrastructure but also in terms of stability and creating an environment of peace.

During his visit, he was presented with the agency’s book titled “FETO’s Coup Attempt in Turkey” which covered the deadly failed coup and its aftermath.

The July 2016 coup attempt left 249 people martyred and 2,193 injured.
