British pop star Harry Styles invites Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina to his concert

ANKARA (AA) - Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina got an invite from British pop star Harry Styles to one of his concerts after the 28-year-old missed his show in Vienna last weekend due to her progress at Wimbledon.

Wimbledon wild card Svitolina was hoping to see her favorite musician in the Austrian capital but she had to give away the concert tickets after she defeated American Sofia Kenin with straight sets on Friday at the tennis major.

"Hey guys!! I was supposed to see my fav Harry Styles concert in Vienna tomorrow..." Wimbledon wild card Svitolina previously said on Instagram.

"But Wimbledon changed my plans. Someone want to go? I have two tickets," the 28-year-old player added.

Styles, a world-famous pop star having 49 million followers on Instagram, replied to Svitolina on social media to invite her fan on tour.

"Congratulations! We have four shows to go, you're welcome at any of them. Good luck with the rest of the tournament," said Styles, who performed in Vienna on Saturday.

During his tour, Styles will be in Barcelona on Wednesday and Madrid on Friday before his visit to Lisbon on July 18.

On July 22, the English pop star will end his 2023 tour after giving a concert in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

Svitolina on Sunday eliminated her Belarusian opponent Victoria Azarenka with the sets of 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (11-9) to advance to the women's quarterfinals at the Wimbledon. She will face Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinals.

This year's Wimbledon will end with the men's singles final on Sunday.
