TRENTON, Canada (AA) - An intensive manhunt covering three Canadian provinces ended Wednesday with the apprehension of the second suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing rampage that left 10 dead.

Myles Sanderson, 32, was taken into custody near Rosthern, a small town of about 1,700 residents in the province of Saskatchewan. It is about 124 kilometers (77 miles) from the site of the killings.

Nine people were stabbed to death Sunday on the James Smith Cree Nation reserve and one in the nearby village of Weldon.

The capture ends a manhunt by hundreds of police.

Sanderson is the second suspect in the murder rampage. His brother, Damien, 31, also a suspect, was found dead Monday with wounds that did not appear to be self-inflicted, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

In all, 11 people were killed including Damien Sanderson and 18 were injured in a rampage that is one of the worst mass murders in Canadian history.
