China’s Xi holds talks with Azerbaijani president

Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Beijing on Wednesday, according to state-run media.

Aliyev arrived in the capital on Tuesday for a three-day state visit, Xinhua News Agency reported.

During his visit, he will also meet with other Chinese leaders including Premier Li Qiang and the chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, Zhao Leji.

Earlier, China’s Foreign Ministry said the visit will further deepen the strategic partnership between China and Azerbaijan.
