Chinese press delegation visits AA headquarters

ANKARA (AA) - A Chinese press delegation visited the Anadolu Agency head offices in Ankara Thursday.

Anadolu Agency's Corporate Communication Director Esra Kirecci informed the delegation about the agency’s history, organizational structure, activities and aims.

Kirecci told the visitors that the purpose of the agency was to "announce the voice of Anatolia to the world".

She pointed out that Anadolu Agency offices were located in 34 countries. The agency also has correspondents in 86 countries, she added.

Kirecci said the agency broadcasted in 11 languages and was listed among the top 10 agencies in the world.

The visitors were also presented with an introductory video of Anadolu Agency's news academy and the war journalism training program.

Anadolu Agency’s News Academy was established as part of the agency’s centennial goals for 2020. For the past three years, the academy has held frequent seminars and provided a number of training programs.
