Chinese Securities Regulatory Commission’s ex-chief under probe for 'serious violations' of law, party discipline

ISTANBUL (AA) - Former head of China Securities Regulatory Commission, Yi Huiman, has been put under a probe over alleged "serious violations" of Communist Party discipline and national laws.

Yi, 61, was the chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission from January 2019 to February 2024, according to the state-run China Daily.

The announcement of the investigation was released online by the Communist Party of China's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision.

No further details on the probe were released.
