Court indicts Italian tourism minister over alleged false accounting practices at former business
Daniela Santanche claims innocence, opposition urges her to resign

ATHENS (AA) – A Milan court on Friday indicted Tourism Minister Daniela Santanche for alleged false accounting at her former publishing company Visibilia, state news agency ANSA reported.
Santanche, 63, was among 17 people indicted over alleged false corporate communications, including her partner, and her sister.
Prosecutors allege balance sheets were manipulated between 2016 and 2022 to hide millions of euros of losses and enable the company to stay in business. She has denied any wrongdoing.
The trial will begin in March and the opposition has called on her to resign.
