Defending champ Jannik Sinner advances to Australian Open semifinals
Jannik Sinner, Shelton will face off, Novak Djokovic will take on Alexander Zverev in semifinals

ISTANBUL (AA) - Jannik Sinner, the current men’s singles world No. 1, advanced to the Australian Open semifinals on Wednesday.
The quarterfinal matches were held during the evening session on the 11th day of the tournament in Melbourne.
In the men’s singles, defending champion Jannik Sinner defeated eighth-seeded Australian Alex de Minaur 3-0, with sets of 6-3, 6-2, and 6-1, in a match that lasted one hour and 48 minutes, securing his spot in the semifinals.
Ben Shelton from the USA defeated Italy's Lorenzo Sonego 3-1 in the match that lasted three hours and 50 minutes with sets of 6-4, 7-5, 4-6, and 7-6 and advanced to the semifinals.
Jannik Sinner and Shelton will face off, and Novak Djokovic of Serbia will take on Alexander Zverev of Germany.
