MADRID (AA) - Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Recep Akdag met representatives of the Turkish community in capital Madrid on Thursday, urging them to form their own association.
Speaking to a gathering of Turkish community, Akdag said they should form a body that was separate from supporters of Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the group behind last year’s defeated coup, and the PKK terrorist group.
The deputy premier was accompanied by the Turkish envoy to Spain Omer Onhon, who shared information on initiatives taken in the health sector by Turkey.
Akdag added European states were left "astonished" by the health services Turkey provides.
Later, the deputy premier also attended World Health Organization's conference in the city.
