Israel continues genocidal war on Gaza

Latest developments as Israel continues its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, violating the ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian group Hamas.

At least 27 Palestinians were killed on Saturday in multiple Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip, medical sources said.

The Israeli army also halted the flow of water from Israeli company Mekorot to the Gaza Strip, effectively cutting off 70% of the enclave’s total water supply.

The overall death toll from Israel’s genocidal war since October 2023 has surged to 50,699, the Health Ministry said.


Israeli raids in West Bank

Nearly daily Israeli military raids on Palestinian cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, especially in the northern parts of the territory.

A Palestinian was injured after being attacked by Israeli settlers who set dogs on him while he was plowing his land in the southern area of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army arrested 10 others during a series of raids in various areas.

Tension has been running high across the occupied West Bank, where over 944 Palestinians have been killed and over 7,000 others injured in attacks by the Israeli army and illegal settlers since the start of the Gaza onslaught, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.


Developments related to Yemen's Houthis

Developments in US attacks on Yemen, as well as Houthi military operations against Israel.

The Israeli Army Radio on Saturday said two ballistic missiles were launched from Yemen overnight and Saturday morning, claiming both projectiles fell far from Israeli borders without causing damage.

According to the Houthi-run Health Ministry, at least 61 civilians have been killed and 139 others injured in US airstrikes across Yemen since March 15.


Latest in Syria

The latest developments in Syria, including its efforts to maintain control of all the Syrian territory, as well as Israel's repeated attacks on Syrian territory after the fall of Assad regime.

The Israeli army claimed on Saturday that it had raided a former military site in southern Syria earlier this week, seizing tanks, armored personnel carriers, and rocket-propelled grenades.


Israel's violations in southern Lebanon

Developments in Lebanon after incomplete Israeli army withdrawal.

Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on Nov. 27, Israel has committed nearly 1,400 violations, resulting in at least 117 deaths and 366 injuries, according to an Anadolu tally based on official data.


French foreign minister to visit Algeria

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot is set to begin a visit to Algeria to discuss the ongoing crisis between the two countries.

The visit comes about a week after Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and French President Emmanuel Macron renewed their mutual desire to resume constructive dialogue.


Czech president to visit Mauritania

Czech President Petr Pavel is set to start a three-day official visit to Mauritania, during which he will hold talks with President Mohamed Cheikh El Ghazouani.

The discussions are expected to address issues of security and economic cooperation, amid growing rapprochement between Nouakchott and Prague over the past year.


Le Pen supporters take to streets

France's right-wing National Rally (NR) will hold a rally in Paris after its leader Marine Le Pen was convicted of embezzling EU funds. Le Pen, who was barred from running in elections for five years, denounced the verdict as a "denial of democracy." Several opposition groups have announced counter-demonstrations in Paris to protest against the far-right gathering.


Rehabilitation of earthquake victims in Myanmar continues

While search for missing people continues, authorities are working hard to rehabilitate the victims of twin earthquakes which rocked Myanmar and Thailand on March 28. Death toll is expected to rise and so far 3,354 victims have been confirmed dead while 4,508 others are injured.

In neighboring Thailand, search for 70 people buried under a skyscraper's rubble continues while 22 have been declared dead.​​​​​​​


Finnish parliament speaker pays visit to China

Finland’s parliament speaker Jussi Halla-aho to pay official visit to China until April 9. He will be accompanied by a Finnish delegation. The delegation is set to meet senior officials of Beijing. Bilateral relations, trade and economic cooperation, EU-China relations, Russia- Ukraine war and East Asian regional situation as well as China-US relations are expected to be discussed.


Somali president in Uganda for official visit

Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is in Uganda’s capital Kampala for an official visit. Mohamud is expected to hold talks with his counterpart Yoweri Museveni on advancing joint efforts against the al-Qaeda-affiliated terror group al-Shabaab and bilateral relations.
