F-35 fighter jet program back on track: Turkish official

WASHINGTON – The F-35 fifth-generation stealth fighter jet program is back on track, Turkey’s head of defense industry told Anadolu Agency.

Following his trip to the Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, Arizona, where he attended a series of annual high-level meetings on the F-35 Joint Strike II program, of which Turkey is a partner to, Turkish Undersecretary of Defense Industry Ismail Demir said the aircraft had now matured to a "significant extent."
